Taylor Swift Goes wild in ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ video

On her 23rd birthday, Taylor Swift brings us the video premiere of the second single, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble‘, from her new album Red. While her previous single ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together‘ introduced us to a glossy poppy Taylor, her latest release is trying to establish a wilder image, both sonically and visually.

The song starts off as one of her typical child-like country songs, flows into a catchy pop chorus before giving way to a ubiquitous dubstep breakdown. Although the dubstep section fits well with the video, the whole thing just sounds messy and does not fit her pristine public persona.
