It’s a good time to be a Kylie fan!
We’ve had tantalising tweets from current collaborators, plus confirmation from the lady herself that the new album is almost finished. Kylie has also appeared on the red carpet at Logo’s NewNowNext Awards (where she was named ‘Dance Floor Hero’) and MTV’s Movie Awards. Now, after all that activity, the time has finally come for the UK premiere of ‘Hey Diddly Dee’.
Written and directed by Marc ‘Hustle’ Warren, ‘Hey Diddly Dee’ is a short film forming part of Sky Arts 1 HD’s excellent Playhouse Presents series. We were lucky enough to receive an advance screener – we think that’s what ‘in the know’ media types call them – and *obviously* it’s essential viewing for Kyliephiles everywhere.
We don’t want to give too much away, but we can tell you that it’s a quirky tale of intrigue set in the troubled rehearsals of a dodgy West End production based on the life of Andy Warhol. With a stellar cast – Mathew Horne, Peter Serafinowicz, David Harewood and Paul Kaye all co-star – it’s essential viewing if you like your comedy dark and your drama twisty.
‘Hey Diddly Dee’ airs this Thursday 18th April at 9pm on Sky Arts 1 HD. More info can be found here.
